Presenting STMC at Venture Café London
On 25 June 2026, I presented Photon Fusion's decision-intelligence framework at Venture Café London. The focus was the Synthetic Terrain Mapping Circuit — our way of working out where a company actually stands before deciding what to do next. The room was full of founders and investors, not biotech specialists — the audience that really tests whether a framework built at the bench can travel.
Most early-stage companies operate in the Complex and Chaotic domains: small teams, incomplete information, and a competitor's move or a customer's “no” that can kill the roadmap overnight. STMC's value to a startup has little to do with biotech vocabulary — it's the discipline underneath: map the terrain across the domains that determine survival — usually product and technical risk, IP or defensibility, and market or investor narrative — as one picture rather than three separate arguments, then identify the single binding constraint honestly before deciding what to do about it. The founders recognised the pattern immediately — the pivot that was really a runway call, the pitch that had got ahead of the IP underneath it. STMC turns that instinct into something repeatable.
